J.W. Harris

Great ride

Three time World Champion Bull rider J.W. Harris came into the 2010 Wrangler World Finals flying high. Two days earlier, his wife, Jackie, presented him with a brand new daughter, Aubrey. With all the adrenalin that goes with having a child born, Harris had a great Finals. He tied a Wrangler National Finals Rodeo record for bull riding with four round wins (Rounds 2, 5, 6 and 7) and he placed in eight of the ten rounds. The day that Aubrey turned 12 days old, Harris captured his third gold buckle to become the 2010 World Champion Bull Rider.

While nothing quite so dramatic as the birth of his daughter happened in 2011, Harris is still going strong. He ended the 2011 WNFR ranked number two in the World Standings behind number one placed Shane Proctor. Harris passed the $1Million earnings mark at the 2011 WNFR, and enters the 2012 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo ranked number two in the world with $1,209,882.00 in career earnings.
