Great ride

In 2011 Clayton won Round 7 of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with an 85-point ride and placed in one other round; he finished 13th in the world standings with $99,442. He won the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo the Farm-City ProRodeo, the Canby Rodeo; the Leesville Lions Club Rodeo; the A Tribute to Chris LeDoux Rodeo ; Kansas' BIggest Rodeo the Auburn Wild West Stampede; the Crosstie PRCA Rodeo and the Steamboat Springs ProRodeo Series.

2010 brought him victories in the Dodge Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo the Auburn Wild West Stampede; the Evergreen Rodeo; the XIT Rodeo & Reunion the Kit Carson County Fair & Rodeo and the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series-July 16-17. He was also Co-champion of the Buffalo Bill Rodeo and finished 24th in the final world standings with $52,691.

His parents are Vaun (deceased) and Lynda Savage, and he has a brother, Cody and sister, Kim. He was home-schooled. He started in rodeo at age 6, and also participated in wrestling as a teenager. His favorite rodeos are Casper, Wyo., and Cheyenne, Wyo. Rodeo heroes are his dad, who was a bareback rider, and the late Lane Frost.
